An interesting combination of French, Italian and Spanish food, sprinkled with authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Cordero prides itself for being deeply connected to the local culinary products and culture. Located in the lovely (and well-toured) neighborhood of Neve Tzedek, it’s also near the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater.
The menu selection is interesting: you can start with Ensalada de Tomate or Spanish style spicy mussels with anise, or try an elaborate dish such as Grilled Coquilles Saint-Jacques scallops with creamy polenta, blue crab bisque and Parmesan cheese. For main course, there’s a selection of meat and seafood – Cutlet of minced beef and beef sweetbreads steak, Paella with grilled chicken or Gulf Corvina fish fillet with veloute martini sauce, shrimps and potato gratin. Cordero offers a variety of wines from all over Europe, including some local Israeli wines.
